Important information about how I schedule patients:
First, I want to thank all of you for honoring me by choosing me as a member of your healing team. I truly love this work. Each day, when I see patients coming into my office experiencing major breakthroughs and healing from chronic conditions, I feel incredibly lucky.
In order to keep things running smoothly for everyone, I am posting my scheduling policy. I believe that clear communication coming from a loving place in one's heart is the best way to establish healthy boundaries and mutual respect. This post is in the spirit of that belief.
Health Revolution Ayurveda Scheduling and Cancellation Policy:
Appointments are generally scheduled two weeks out. It is extremely rare for me to be able to schedule someone the week that they contact me. Please understand that I would love to see you sooner and will make it happen if I can.
There are exceptions to the two-week guideline, such as when I hold days open to book cleansing consults the week before a group cleanse begins, or when someone reschedules and I have an unexpected opening. All appointments are first-come first-serve.
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, you must provide at least 24 hours advance notice. Appointments that are canceled or rescheduled without 24 hours advance notice are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
Since I do not practice emergency medicine, I do not hold appointments open for last-minute patients. However, I am happy when possible to schedule an evening phone consultation if anyone has an acute condition and would like short-notice Ayurvedic treatment. Examples of such conditions include: colds, sinus infections, allergies, urinary tract infections, and vaginal infections (bacterial and yeast). In such cases, the day after our consult, I will leave herbal medicines for pickup on the table outside my office at Ruscombe Mansion.
Please understand that I cannot hold appointments open for those who are not prepared to commit to a specific day and time. At this time, I do not have a receptionist because I dislike the distance between patient and practitioner that the receptionist role provides. My not having a receptionist means that I must do all the scheduling myself in between my patient consults. As my practice has been very full for quite some time and shows only signs of continued growth, it is possible that I will require a receptionist in the near future. Until then, I am requesting that everyone please continue to follow this process to schedule appointments:
-Contact me by phone or text (443-253-6221), or email ([email protected]).
-Leave me your name, contact information, and a few options for days/times that you can meet over the next 2-week period.
-Within 24 hours Monday-Friday, I will respond to your request for an appointment by offering you an appointment time within the parameters you provided.
-Please let me know by the end of the business day (or by 8 AM the following day if I contact you in the evening) if you would like to take the appointment offered. If I do not hear back from you, I will have to offer that time to someone else.
-My regular office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday. Exceptions include evening phone consults for acute conditions, evening consults for those who are international or out-of-state, and Saturday hours once monthly. Preference for Saturday appointments is given to those who are traveling from out-of-state to see me.
