Lucky, blessed, or reaping the rewards of my hard-core approach to education, whatever you want to call it that's what I am.
This morning, as I was walking up onto the grounds of Ruscombe Mansion, I realized suddenly that my being there was the manifestation of an intention that I sent several years ago. When we lived in Virginia, I used to drive up to Ruscombe Mansion one weekend a month to teach Ayurveda classes. Each time I would pull into the parking lot, I felt like I was coming home. When I taught classes in the buildings, I would feel the energy in the space. Even though other practitioners weren't usually around on the weekends, I could feel that this place was a nexus for the natural healing community. I would walk around the peaceful grounds and imagine how incredible it would be if I worked here. I would think every time I visited to teach, "Someday I will be part of this."
Fast-forward a few years, and here I am! Now I am walking up to my office, drinking in the pinks and purples of new spring flowers and savoring the cool morning air on my skin. I'm turning a key in a lock that opens the door to a gorgeous room filled with warm light, and that room is mine!
I am looking out my window to watch one of the grey neighborhood cats. He is taking an early morning stroll around the goldfish pond. He stops to fish, but he doesn't catch anything.
My room smells like temple incense. I share it with lovely people. The open window makes me the audience to a choir of birds. I can't believe how lucky I am.
