This quote perfectly captures my philosophy behind this blog. To some, it may seem like I lack a theme. After all, I am a healer by profession, but I don't explicitly write about healing everyday.
What I believe is that people need to touch all aspects of themselves daily in order to be healthy. We need to hear pleasing sounds, learn a little something, nourish our bodies, see things that we think are beautiful, and feed our spirit somehow every day. Every day, I keep my eyes and my spirit open to see what is presented to me. On the days when I don't post anything, it is because it just doesn't feel right. Sometimes I run out of time in the day, and that is o.k.
It is so obvious to most of us that things like eating whole foods and using herbal medicine are part of natural healing. What we often overlook are the hundreds of things in our daily life that are healing; things like hearing music, singing, dancing, laughing, smiling, or just taking a deep breath. Stopping for a minute in your busy day to appreciate a piece of artwork is healing. Practicing random acts of kindness is healing. These healing opportunities we miss everyday are what I am most interested in.
My goal here is to give other people a positive experience each time they read my blog. I am just keeping myself open to life each day and hoping to bring a little something good to others.
